Jalandhar is an ancient city in Jalandhar District which is in the state of
Punjab, India. Previously it is known as Jullundur. Jalandhar is named from
Jalandhara, a demon king who lived in water - Jal (water) and andhar (in) as per
his name. It has an population of almost a million, and another million live in
